Hello!
Two things:
#1 I apologize for the blog being down lately – Everything technical that could go wrong, did go wrong. It just reinforces everything I teach… Some things you have no control over & “It is what it is.”
#2 Legendary UCLA basketball coach, John Wooden, passed away recently. Watch below and hear what he personally said to me that had me literally staring at him with my mouth wide open…
Take Care,

Dr. Mike
Thanks for the reminder that we all are teachers. I’m one who has been promoting coaches as teachers for a long time. Every interview I have with prospective coaches includes that focus. I really like this new format. Keep on sending it out!
Mike, What a great story to tell of a great mentor. The fact that he impressed you so much and that you carried the message forward shows your own passion about life. What a great vehicle to express it!
Hey Mike. I loved your talk about John Wooden. Thanks for sharing that with us. Seriously. Keep going with these videos. You are a positive force in this world and this is a great way to touch people’s lives.
Love the new format. I passed this on to our Athletic Director and Principal and plan to mention your website when we have our Freshman Orientation in August. Another great resource and a great way to connect with parents. Thanks for offering these clips.
Well done Dr. Mike…..Coach Wooden was a legend in coaching but more importantly……a legend as a human being. “Every” coach in America needs to watch…..listen…..and teach his Pyramid of Success. Thanks to you as well, for your passion to help us all be better people and better role models. From one “character crusader” to another……keep up the great work!!!!
Love the comments Dr. Mike. Once again…. you get it…. I get it. Life is good!
Another amazing video, Dr. Mike! As a parent/teacher, I think those teachable moments are endless. I agree that ALL I do can be used as a teaching tool for my kids, not just my young ones, but especially my teenage boys! John Wooden was a true role model and a man of character! Thank you for that reminder.
Thanks for such a great and timeless message Dr. Mike. Live your life with passion and purpose! Two thumbs up!
