I Was Told I’d Never Make It!

June 30th, 2010

Hello! I hope your summer is going great!

The 4th of July is upon us and I wish you and your family a wonderful and safe celebration this coming weekend. Before you head out to your cookouts, lake house, parks, or your own backyard… Check out my latest video blog below.

It’s based on one of my most recent talks that I gave at a Mayors Conference. I want to share with you a story one of the Mayors shared with me and how it really hit home! I want to see if you can relate to what I’m saying in this video blog… I have a few questions to ask you at the end of the video, so sit back, watch, listen, and enjoy!

Don’t forget to leave your comments, thoughts and feedback!

Again, Happy 4th of July & Take Care,

Dr. Mike

    Dr Mike,

Great “food for thought” as we all need to take a step back occasionally and reflect. As always, your passion for character is appreciated. Keep up the great work and I encourage any school or organization to contact Dr. Mike for an awesome assembly presentation this upcoming school year. All the best!

The twist on the serenity prayer is appropriate. I, too, have heard people use the original as a crutch or way to say, “It’s them not me.” I appreciate your blogs. I share them with my family as a way to stimulate discussion. Again, thanks.

Nice job Mike. It is really true that you do have the choice on who you hang around with and you have to constantly evaluate your choices as you go through the day. Self Accessments can be rather enlightening.

Have a great Holiday and thanks for all your help witht he Center for Character Ethics.
