Hey It’s Dr. Mike again!
I hope you’re having a GREAT summer. It’s been a hot & humid summer here in Ohio. Nothing but fun though!!!
Our daughter, Holly, made it home from San Diego for her 10 year class reunion this past weekend – Does that mean I’m getting old? She looks great and just loves life! I couldn’t stop giving her hugs while she was here.
Back to business – You MUST check this video blog out. I pulled some video from a “few” years ago that is still relevant for today.
I want to see what you think? Do you agree with me on what I’m teaching here? How does it apply to everyday life? No matter what role you hold in life, how could you start to apply what I’m teaching here in your role in life?
Make sure you comment below the video – I love all of your comments you leave. What a great online family we are developing!!!
Here’s the video blog…
Take Care,

Dr. Mike
Hey Dr. Mike,
Once again, as always you are spot on. The only question I have is this. When was this video shot, back in the 80′s? I thought for a moment I was watching Don Johnson on a old Miami Vice re-run? Of course there is only one person who could pull such a look off, and it may not have been you. Anyways, great segment, and keep on keepin on buddy!!!
I would have to agree we have to teach our children about making quality choices. The only thing I would add is that this is a process. We are an instant gratification society and want what we want when we want it. Every child learns differently, might need a slightly different approach and it will take time. We also need to give them these responsibilities in “learnable building blocks”. As the child grows more responsibility is challenged upon them to encourage the growth and build responsibility. It is indeed a process. Never too early to start teaching our kids, earlier is better and can make later lessons easier to teach. True teaching never ends.
Thanks Dr. Mike.
Absolutely !!
Society has gotten into such a habit of blaming everyone else and resenting their own consequences.
Keep ‘em coming Dr. Mike…..Great Motivation!!!
You are always so right on. Words to listen to every day!
